A Full Panel STD Test Can Help You Take Control of Your Health

A full panel STD test can provide answers to many of your health questions all at once.  Sounds great, right?  So what exactly is a full panel STD test? myLAB Box’s Total Box screens for the 14 of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in the United States.  This makes it the most comprehensive STD test pack on the market today. With only one set of samples, this panel will provide results for all 14 tests through a secure online portal.

Simply put, you can order, test and get results all without leaving the house. Why bother with multiple tests and follow-up appointments when you can get a complete report on your sexual health from home?

Total Box

myLAB Box’s full panel STD test is exactly what you need to make sure you are healthy and STD-free.

This panel screens for following infections:

Chlamydia (including genital, throat and rectal tests):

While many clinics and doctors’ offices only test for genital infections, Total Box includes extragenital (three-site) testing as well. This means that oral and rectal infections will be detected as well.

Gonorrhea (including genital, throat and rectal tests)

Like chlamydia, this infection often requires three-site testing. A more thorough screening will arm you with an inclusive view of your overall health.

Hepatitis C

This is a blood-borne virus that infects the liver. Left untreated, it can cause liver damage.

HIV I and HIV II

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection can cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) if untreated and unmonitored.

Herpes Simplex 2

This virus is also known as genital herpes. When symptoms are visible, this infection is typically identified by painful genital sores. These can affect both men and women.

Syphilis

Syphilis is curable and can be treated with antibiotics. However, treatment will not undo any damage that the infection has already done.

Trichomoniasis

An estimated 3.7 million people have this infection, but over 70% never develop any symptoms. Reinfection within 3 months is common.

Mycoplasma Genitalium

This infection can cause pelvic inflammatory disease with pain in the pelvic area and pain during sex. It is frequently undiagnosed because testing for this infection is often not performed.

HPV (optional add-on for women 30 years of age and older)

There are various strains of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). High-risk types (hrHPV) can lead to genital cancers in women. Often, there are no symptoms.

In women under 30, hrHPV infections are usually cleared by the immune system in two years or less. This can lead to unneeded treatment and expenses. Unfortunately, HPV tests for men are not always accurate. In addition, there are no treatments available for men with hrHPV. As a result, CDC does not recommend HPV testing for men.
