Safe Is Sexy Guide to Sexual Health Month

Sexual Health Month

It’s time to celebrate Sexual Health Month!

Let’s start off by first acknowledging that at myLAB Box, each and every day is “sexual health day.” Sexual health isn’t only about sex, after all.  It is about taking control of our overall health, which includes topics related to sex, such as hygiene, having safe sex, and getting tested on a routine basis. Sexual Health Month is simply a great opportunity to highlight this idea.

Every year, “World Sexual Health Day” (traditionally September 4) follows a theme that aims to spread both knowledge and awareness about key aspects of sexual health. For example, last year World Sexual Health Day focused on debunking common sexual myths.

We do our part to stay true to this mission on a regular basis, by exposing some of these common myths about sexually transmitted infections and diseases on our blog and through social media. There are far too many falsehoods about how we can catch STIs, living with HIV and how we can be tested and treated.

This Sexual Health Month, we’re providing our readers with the tools they need to take control of their health. Our “Safe Is Sexy” guides pinpoint specific topics, holidays or populations that we feel need attention.

Here are some helpful “Safe Is Sexy” guides to help you along the way:

At myLAB Box, we’re expanding our resources throughout Sexual Health Month. Throughout September, we will continue to offer important articles. These will include symptoms guides, interviews, and fascinating articles about advancements in sexual health.

If you’d like to join us on our mission to spread knowledge and awareness, be sure to follow us on social media. On myLAB Box’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, we’ll be sharing some insights into, and advancements in, modern sexuality, the fight against HIV stigma, and the realities of dating life.  On Instagram, we’ll be highlighting thoughts on wellness and dating, as well as spotlighting some thought-leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators that have made a difference.

We’re aiming to raise awareness across the globe. Interested in taking total control of your sexual health and helping others do the same? Join us!

Happy Sexual Health Month! We’re looking forward to speaking with all of you!
