myLAB Box is Officially a Women’s Business Enterprise

Big news! myLAB Box has been nationally certified as an Official Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

What Does That Mean?

Not to toot our own horn too loudly, but it’s a pretty big deal!

The WBENC is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. Earning certification is a meticulous process that involves an in-depth review of the business, and site inspection.

The Enterprise Council makes absolutely sure to confirm that each business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. So, we passed with flying colors (both of our founders are women!)

myLAB Box was co-founded by Lora Ivanova and Ursula Hessenflow, two Los Angeles-based entrepreneurs who are looking to set the new standard for sexual healthcare.

People are simply not testing for STDs consistently, and available testing options seem unable to provide a fast, private and positive experience for their customers. With 1/3 of Americans living with a STI today, conventional testing methods simply do not seem to work.

Many people are only tested only once, and then never again. Some are never tested in the first place! myLAB Box aims to transform preventative STD screening with a simple service, offering a first line of defense.
