Men may experience urethral discharge, burning urination, and also pain or swelling of the joints. Symptoms may not be present at all or may be similar to symptoms of other sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia.

Treatment
Mycoplasma Genitalium is most often treated with antibiotics, most commonly a dose of azithromycin. In order for treatment to be effective, you should follow your physician’s orders and take the whole cycle of antibiotics.
Prevention
Condoms can help reduce your chances of getting mycoplasma genitalium, but they can’t guarantee you won’t get it. If you do have MG avoid having sex for 7 days after you have started treatment because you run the risk of infecting others.
