What Are My Options For An 8 Panel STD Test?

We’re glad to see that you are being proactive with your health. You have two options when it comes to an 8 panel STD test with myLAB Box.

The Uber Box lets you test for the most common sexually transmitted diseases from home. It screens for the following infections:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Hepatitis C
  • Herpes simplex 2
  • HIV (I & II)
  • Syphilis
  • Trichomoniasis

The Love Box is an 8 panel STD test for couples. It includes two mail-in test kits for all the infections listed above. This testing option is designed specifically for you and your partner to test together. Now we can tackle the country’s alarmingly high infection rates two-at-a-time!

Are There Any Other Panels Available?

Like we said above, we believe in variety and options when it comes to taking your health into your own hands.  Different people need different testing solutions. We aim to provide that diversity with our products.

The Safe Box is a 4 panel at home test that screens for the top risks when it comes to sexually transmitted infections. These tests include HIV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and Trichomoniasis.  The panel addresses 71% of the infections that are occurring in the United States, excluding the country’s STD leader, HPV.

The Total Box screens for 14 of the most common sexually transmitted infections.  It is the most comprehensive at home testing option on the market. In fact, this test panel is exactly what you need to make sure you are healthy and STD-free.  It screens for the following STD risks:

  • Chlamydia (Genital, Throat, Rectal)
  • Gonorrhea (Genital, Throat, Rectal)
  • Hepatitis C
  • Hiv I & II
  • Herpes Simplex 2
  • Syphilis
  • Trichomoniasis
  • Mycoplasma Genitalium
  • HPV (optional add-on for women 30 years of age and older)
What Other Tests Can I Take?

Individual Tests are available for the infections above, should you know that you were exposed to a specific infection or disease. Individual tests are available for the following infections:

  • Trichomoniasis
  • Genital Herpes
  • HIV
  • Chlamydia & Gonorrhea (a combo kit for the same price as the other individual kits, since these two bacterial-based infections are often found together)
  • Mycoplasma Genitalium
  • Syphilis
  • HPV (for women 30 years of age or older, since the infection in younger women clears on its own, and infections in men are often inaccurate. Read more here.)
  • Hepatitis C

Extragenital, or 3-Site, Testing is an important addition to your testing routine. Most doctor’s offices and clinics only do a standard genital-only test for chlamydia and gonorrhea (which are the second and third most common infections, by the way). This is unacceptable to us. That’s because anyone who engages in giving or receiving anal or oral sex is at risk of getting these infections in the mouth and rectal areas – for which the genital-only tests don’t screen.  For this reason, many infections in the mouth, throat and rectal areas get missed, and the infections continue to spread.
