About this project

myLAB Box, Inc. is working with the New York State Department of Health to facilitate sexually transmitted infections (“STI”) testing by providing prepaid access to home collection kits to New York residents for submission to, and testing by, a New York State licensed and CLIA-certified laboratory. Kulbersh Health Screening Services (KHSS), an affiliate of myLAB Box; will order the tests, explain the test results, and offer either treatment by phone consult or referral for treatment where appropriate.  Access, use, and participation in this service is optional. By requesting a free STI home collection kit from myLAB Box, you are agreeing, consenting, and authorizing myLAB Box and KHSS to use, disclose, and share with the New York State Department of Health any and all health information that myLAB Box may obtain regarding you and your health, including but not limited to, test results. Depending on your sexual activity, these infections can be spread and affect either the genitals, mouth, or rectal area independently. If you have engaged in oral or anal sex, we strongly recommend you use the 3-Site test kit to ensure that all areas are in the clear. Both Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are curable when early detection occurs. A chlamydia or gonorrhea infection that goes untreated can cause permanent damage to a woman’s reproductive system, making it difficult or potentially impossible for her to get pregnant. About Chlamydia:

Most people who have chlamydia don’t know it since there are often no recognizable symptoms (as much as 70% of the time or more).

• Chlamydia is the most commonly reported STD in the United States.
• Sexually active females under 25 years of age should test every year.
• Although it is easy to cure, chlamydia can make it impossible for a woman to get pregnant if not treated.
