This STD Panel Test Screens For the Most Common Infections

STD panel test

If you like to have sex, myLAB Box has the STD panel test for you! The Total Box is the most comprehensive STD panel test on the market today. Using only one set of samples, this is actually 14-tests-in-one. By simplifying the screening process, you’ll never have to worry about taking multiple tests or setting up follow-up appointments.

Simply put, this kit contains everything you need to test for the most common sexually transmitted diseases and infections. Let’s explore what you’ll find inside your Total Box.

Total Box STD Panel Test

myLAB Box’s full STD panel test lets you order, test and get results without ever leaving the comfort of home.

This home STD test package screens for the following common infections:

HIV

Human Immunodeficiency Virus, or HIV, shouldn’t require an introduction. If left untreated and undiagnosed,  HIV will eventually cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is imperative that every one of us screens for this serious viral infection.

Chlamydia (including genital, throat and rectal tests):

Chlamydia is the most common Sexually Transmitted Infection in the United States. However, a shocking amount of cases go undiagnosed. More often than not, this comes down to inefficient testing practices.

Also, it is possible to contract a case of chlamydia in your throat or rectum. These need to be specifically screened for, otherwise they can be easily missed. While many clinics and doctors’ offices only test for genital infections, Total Box includes extragenital (three-site) testing as well. This additional screening also detects oral and rectal infections.

Gonorrhea (including genital, throat and rectal tests)

Gonorrhea or, “the Clap“, is another rampant infection. Like chlamydia, this infection often requires three-site testing. Depending on your bedroom habits, a thorough extragenital screening will provide a more accurate view of your overall health.

Hepatitis C

Hepatitis C is a blood-borne virus that infects your liver. If left untreated, it can cause liver damage. As you can imagine, it’s critical to catch this infection as quickly as possible.

Herpes Simplex 2

Let’s face it, almost everyone has heard of Herpes Simplex 2. At the very least, you’ve heard it’s more common name: genital herpes. When symptoms are visible, this infection typically appears as painful sores around the genitals and rectal area. Everyone should be concerned. After all, herpes can affect both men and women.

Syphilis

Syphilis is one of the more dangerous infections. It attacks the body in stages over time. Fortunately, syphilis is curable. It is treatable using antibiotics. However, treatment will not undo any damage that the infection has already caused. For this reason, it is critical to catch the infection as soon as possible.

Trichomoniasis

Trich is an easy infection to miss, but you’d be surprised how many of us are carrying it. According to the CDC, an estimated 3.7 million people are infected, but over 70% never develop any symptoms. To make matters worse, it’s very easy to be reinfected… even after treatment. For all of us, it pays to screen and screen again.

Mycoplasma Genitalium

This infection can cause pelvic inflammatory disease with pain in the pelvic area and pain during sex. However, it is frequently left undiagnosed. The simple reason for this is because most people never think to test for Mycoplasma Genitalium. Fortunately, the Total Box completely eliminates this worry.

HPV (optional add-on for women 30 years of age and older)

For women 30 and over, this is an optional add-on for the Total Box. There are various strains of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). High-risk types (hrHPV) can lead to genital cancers in women. Often, there are not any visible symptoms.

In women under 30, hrHPV infections are usually cleared by the immune system in two years or less. This can lead to unneeded treatment and expenses. Furthermore, HPV tests for men are not always accurate. Sadly, treatment is currently not available for men. As you can see, science can’t do much for certain HPV cases.

Still, women over 30 will absolutely want to consider this screening option.

Total Peace of Mind in a Box
