Your At Home HPV Test Kit Options
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States. However, HPV testing is not for everyone. That said, there is not one, but three ways to order an at-home HPV test kit using home-collection for women 30 years and above.
Let’s take a look at at home HPV test screening options and the people who should use them.

Three Ways to Order an At-Home HPV Test Kit
1) The HPV Home Test for Women 30+ allows you to screen for 14 high-risk HPV types, including types 16 and 18.
2) Another option for home-collection testing is the Cervical Cancer Screening Using HPV test kit. This test screens for the same high-risk HPV types mentioned above. Both of these kits mentioned are listed separately on the myLAB Box website because some women are looking for a cervical cancer screening test and others are looking for an STD test that detects high risk-HPV types.
3) Women who are 30 years of age and older can also choose to add on an optional HPV test kit to myLAB Box’s most comprehensive test kit, The Total Box. Here, 14 additional tests are included. These infections include HIV (I & II), Hepatitis C, Herpes type-II, Syphilis, Chlamydia (genital, throat, and rectal), Gonorrhea (genital, throat, and rectal), Trichomoniasis, Mycoplasma genitalium.
Who Should (and Shouldn’t) Use an At-Home HPV Test Kit?
Women Under 30:
It is not recommended that women under the age of 30 test for HPV. There are several reasons for this. First, HPV will likely clear on its own when it is present in women under 30. Additionally, there is also a very safe and effective vaccine available for women who are under 26 years old.
To date, there is not a test that provides reliable results for men. At myLAB Box, we take our service and our ability to provide accurate results very seriously. Therefore, we do not offer an HPV test for men at this time. Luckily, the HPV vaccine is also available for men under 26 years old.
Women Over 30:
When HPV is present in unvaccinated women over 30, high-risk strains of the virus that are left untreated can cause cervical cancer. If detected early, this cancer is highly treatable. This increases the importance for women who are over 30 years old to get tested and know their status.
Testing for HPV using Home Collection
Women who need to test for HPV can now do so from the comfort of home using home collection. Testing for, and treating, this virus and other common sexually transmitted infections, is easier than ever. Skip the doctor’s office, save time and money, and obtain the very same secure results that you would receive in any other medical facility.
